Goodbye and thank you from Trustee Director, Dave Tyson

Dave Tyson retires
Dave Tyson, a long standing member of our Trustee Board, is retiring.

Today (30th September) is my final day as a Trustee Director of the railways pension schemes, a position I have held since February 2001.

I originally joined the rail industry as a Drivers Assistant straight from the most basic of education and with few qualifications at the age of 15.

I then embarked on a 41 year journey that I would not have believed I would have taken when I started on 16th June 1980.

I have been fortunate enough to grab every opportunity that presented itself to me and I am grateful for those that helped me along the way.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all at Railpen along with my fellow Trustee Directors for the help, encouragement and support that has been given to me over the past 20 years.

I have been proud to be associated with the schemes.

Best wishes

Dave

The period for nominations to replace Dave on the Trustee Board closed on 20 September. More information will be announced about his successor in due course, once all the necessary legal checks have been completed.
