With sadness, Railpen joins the world in mourning the loss, but celebrating the life and service, of Her Majesty Elizabeth II.
A state funeral will be held on Monday 19 September 2022 and Railpen’s offices and Helpline will be closed on that date as a mark of respect to her enduring service and dedication. We will reopen on Tuesday 20 September.
As Monday 19 September will be a non-working day, contribution deadlines will be one date later.
Payments to pensioners will not be affected by the closure. Any other payments that were due to be paid on Monday, such as retirement lump sums, for example, will instead be paid on Tuesday 20 September.
