We’ve made some changes to help members on their pensions journey and make it easier to find and understand the information they need on their website.
We’ve listened to feedback from members and employers and have made some changes to the RPS website. We’ve refreshed the design, but more importantly, the information on the site has been completely overhauled to cut out any jargon and make it easier for members to get to grips with their retirement planning.
How the website has changed
One of the biggest – and most useful – changes is a new menu, which lets members see most of the pages available on the site.
There are 4 main sections: pension essentials, defined benefit members, IWDC members and the knowledge hub.
The pension essentials area covers many of the pensions topics we know are most important to members. The pages are for all members to use.
There are now separate sections dedicated to members of the defined benefit (DB) Sections of the Scheme and for the Industry-Wide Defined Contribution (IWDC) Section. They explain more about the benefits members get and the options available to them. Members can find what type of pension they have by logging in to their myRPS account and checking the dashboard or the Membership Details page.
Members who are already receiving regular pension payments from the Scheme can find information under ‘defined benefits’ and ‘I’m already taking my pension’.
The knowledge hub has lots of tools and resources, including the Read as You Need guides, video library, Retirement Budgeting Calculator, forms, newsletter and news articles. We’ve also added some new information on the Scheme’s investments and Trustee.
And, of course, the homepage has had a revamp too. We’ve added some quick links to the places we know members often want to go. The latest news is also still available on the homepage.
We’ve reviewed all of the information on the site to make it as clear, accurate and relevant as possible. There are also links at the bottom of each of the pages signposting to other relevant information members might want to read.
Logging into myRPS accounts
Don’t worry – members who are already registered for a myRPS account can continue to use it as normal. They don’t need to re-register and there are no changes to the log-in process. We haven’t made any changes to the look and feel of the myRPS accounts.
The Virtual Assistant will be back soon
The Virtual Assistant will be temporarily unavailable while we update it with the relevant information and links for the new site. It should be up and running again within a couple of weeks.
