Helpful new resources for Fund members

New members joining the BTPFSF will now get a host of special resources to welcome them aboard.

From this week, everyone who joins the CARE Section of the British Transport Police Force Superannuation Fund will receive a package of information, designed to help them get to grips with their pension quickly, and make it much easier to plan for their life after work.

For those who have been a Fund member for years, this information could serve as a useful reminder, so some of the new guides and videos will be available to them to.

The new resources include:

  1. A new Welcome Video. It’s an enjoyable, 3-minute, whistle-stop tour of the Fund. We’d highly recommend it for all new members. And for existing members, it will help remind them of all the features and planning tools that the Fund offers and get them thinking more about life after work.
  1. A Good to Know Guide. Perfect for new, and existing members, the guide is based on common questions members have and will take readers on a journey from the start of their pension, right through to retirement. You don’t have to read it all at once, simply find the contents listed at the start of each chapter and select the subjects you need.
  1. A short, smart Welcome Pack. New joiners to the Scheme, will get this in the post. It will give them all the basic information they need, like their Pension Reference Number, the name of their Section and a guide to activating their myFund online account, as well as useful tips to help you make the most of their membership.

New joiners to the CARE Section, can access the Welcome video and Good to Know Guide direct from their dashboard once they've activated and logged into their myFund account.

Existing members can find the Good to Know Guide on the Read as You Need page and the video in the Video Library of the member website.

Members who need more detailed information on their specific pension, can register or log in to their myFund account to check their Member Guide.
