RBF is calling on the UK rail industry to "step in solidarity".

Railway Benefit Fund (RBF), Railpen’s official charity partner, is calling on the UK rail industry to "step in solidarity" as the countdown to May begins. While the Million Step Team Challenge has been open for a few weeks, the charity is now making a final push for teams to join the ranks and support the Railway Family.

Early momentum is already building, with Teams, Amaro, Avanti West Coast, c2c, Freightliner, Ganymede, Heavy Haul Rail, Porterbrook, Railpen, RSSB and Winder Phillips officially signed up and ready to lead the charge.

A People-First Industry

At its heart, rail is a people industry. From the front line to the back office, the dedication of the workforce is what keeps the country moving. RBF believes that looking after our railway people is the industry’s most important responsibility. This challenge offers a unique way for organisations to demonstrate that commitment by supporting colleagues who may be facing financial or personal hardship.

The Mission: One Million Steps

Timed to coincide with National Walking Month, the challenge tasks teams of four with collectively reaching one million steps throughout the month of May. This averages out to approximately 8,000 steps per person, per day.

Every step logged and every pound raised provides a direct lifeline to those within the Railway Family during their time of need.

Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this industry-wide movement. Support the Railway Family, boost staff wellbeing, and see your company climb the leaderboard.
