Guiding your members through the investments world

Investments can be a daunting subject for members – especially those in our DC arrangements who have a more hands-on role to play in their retirement planning.

Members tell us it can feel tricky to make the best choices for their future when they don’t fully understand some of the basics.

What are investments? How do they work? And what do they have to do with my pension?

That’s why we’re working on a new area of the RPS member website that will guide BRASS, AVC Extra and IWDC Section members on a journey through the world of investments in an easy-to-understand way.

There’ll be a series of short pieces of educational content aiming to increase their understanding and confidence as they go through each one.

They’ll help members:

• Understand what happens to their contributions
• Learn about the role they have to play when it comes to investing
• Understand the options they have; and
• Feel confident they’re making the best decisions for their futures.
