Additional Voluntary Contribution - support if you make a mistake
If you accidentally stop a member’s Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) payments, it’s important to let us know.
If you stop a member’s AVC payments and then restart them, the member’s funds automatically get invested into the default fund. This may differ from the member’s previous investment choices and could:
affect the returns on their contributions
impact their overall retirement outcome and benefits
What to do if you make a mistake
Please contact the Employer Support team as soon as possible. You can email the team at
employer.support@railpen.com or call us on 0800 029 1888.
By letting us know what’s happened quickly, you can help ensure that members’ AVCs are managed correctly and that their investments remain aligned with their preferences.
