Help your RPS members find the right webinar

Tell your members about our free November webinars and help them make the most of the Railways Pension Scheme.

There are six sessions to choose from, covering different pension types and stages of the savings journey.

Each webinar is free, usually lasts just over an hour and is led by an RPS expert. Members can use it to build their understanding and submit general questions during a live Q&A.

Please share these details with your RPS members and encourage them to register for the webinar that suits them.

Get to know your pension
These sessions are designed for members who want to understand more about how their RPS pension works.

They cover who contributes to their pension, ways they could save more, when they can take their pension and the options that may be available when they do.

Please share the appropriate session with members of your section:
Members who are unsure which section they are in can check their myRPS account. This information appears on their welcome page under ‘Your membership’ and ‘Type’.

Preparing for retirement
Our pre-retirement webinars can help members approaching retirement understand what to expect and the options that may be available to them.

The sessions cover when and how members can access their pension and the different options for taking their benefits.

There is a session tailored to Defined Benefit members and another for IWDC members:
Thinking about saving more?
Defined Benefit members who want to understand more about saving on top of their main RPS pension can join our webinar about Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs).

The session explains how BRASS and AVC Extra work, how members can manage their contributions, the investment fund choices available and how they can take their AVC savings.

Asking questions
Each webinar includes a live Q&A where members can submit general questions for our expert to answer.

We cannot discuss members’ personal circumstances or give financial advice during the webinars, so members should not include personal or financial information in their questions.

Registering for a webinar
Members can find further details about all the sessions on the member website railwayspensions.co.uk/webinars.

Once a member has registered, we will email them to confirm their place. They should keep this email, as it contains the link they will need to join the webinar on the day.
